Admission for International Students ~ Master's Degree

Master Degree. Term Dates are divided into two: August & February.

Full Time. Duration: 18-24 months

  • Has no history of involvement in criminal offenses;

  • Meets all requirements set by Universitas Hasanuddin;

  • Has not been dismissed or declared a Drop Out (DO) from Universitas Hasanuddin at the same level of study.

Registration, Selection, and Announcement Procedures

  1. Complete the online registration process at https://regpmb.unhas.ac.id

  2. All required documents must be written or translated into English (with an official certification stamp from a recognized translation agency)

  3. The selection process will be conducted online

  4. Selection results will be announced online and can be accessed through each applicant’s regpmb account

 

Program Study Selection

  • Applicants may choose one (1) study program at the same academic level

 

Pathways

  • Applicants may choose one (1) study pathway: either the coursework track or the research track, including regular research or Thematic Group Research (TRG)

  1. Bachelor’s degree with diploma and academic transcript translated into English

  2. Statement of Motivation (in English)

  3. Curriculum Vitae (in English)

  4. Recent color passport-sized photo (4×6 cm)

  5. Medical certificate of psychological and physical health from a government doctor, including chest X-ray results

  6. English proficiency certificate (one of: IBT TOEFL ≥35, IELTS ≥5.0, TOEFL ITP ≥450, issued within last 2 years) or Indonesian language proficiency certificate for foreign speakers (BIPA) with minimum score 450

  7. Recommendation letter from the Indonesian Embassy or Consulate General

  8. Recommendation letter from a supervisor or employer

  9. Academic recommendation letter from previous university

  10. Research plan (thesis draft) – maximum 10 pages, A4, Times New Roman, font 12, 1.5 spacing, including introduction, problem statement, research methods, and expected results

  11. Valid identification (passport or official ID)

  12. Scholarship application letter (if applying for Universitas Hasanuddin scholarship)

  13. Complete the online application form at https://regpmb.unhas.ac.id

 

Language Requirements

  1. International students from English-speaking countries are not required to submit proof of English proficiency.

  2. Applicants who have completed their most recent education in an English-speaking country within the last 2 years and can actively use English are not required to submit proof of English proficiency.

  3. International students who have studied in Indonesia within the last 2 years and can actively use Indonesian are not required to submit a BIPA certificate.

  4. Students in health-related programs are required to complete the BIPA program.

  • The committee verifies the applicant’s documents.

  • Applicants who pass the document verification will proceed to the online selection exam.

  • The selection process includes an interview, psychological test, Academic Potential Test (TPA), and English Proficiency Test (EPT).

  • The interview is conducted at the Faculty level, involving the Dean or Vice Dean in charge, together with the Head of the Study Program.

  • The psychological test, Academic Potential Test, and EPT are administered by the Selection Committee at the Rectorate.

  • The selection schedule will be coordinated by the Selection Committee with the respective Faculties.

  • The Selection Committee will contact applicants and provide accounts for the selection exam.

  • A network connectivity briefing will be conducted one day before the exam and is mandatory for all applicants.

  • Zoom ID and password will be provided before the exam.

  • The selection team will input the applicants’ test results on https://regpmb.unhas.ac.id.
